New Frontiers for St. Clair County Head Start

St. Clair County Head Start is on the cusp of new adventures! We have secured funding to add additional school days for two of our 4 year old classrooms. National Head Start Research shows increased contact hours for preschoolers yield better student outcomes.

We are also proud to announce we received a $25,000 grant from the Women's Fund of Greater Birmingham to offer a Certified Medical Assistant class for 10 single mothers. Our partners Jefferson State Community College and The First United Methodist Church of Pell City help us offer this opportunity to women in our community. All ten students will graduate May 12, 2020. Check out these features in local media about last year's computer technology class:

Stay tuned for new developments as we BLAST AWAY TO A BRIGHT FUTURE!
